Privacy & Terms
Last updated 27 September 2026
EarthMC Toolkit is an unofficial fan project. It is not run by, affiliated with or endorsed by EarthMC. NOT AN OFFICIAL MINECRAFT PRODUCT. NOT APPROVED BY OR ASSOCIATED WITH MOJANG OR MICROSOFT.
Privacy, in short
- No accounts, no passwords. "Signing in" only saves your Minecraft username in your browser.
- No ads, no analytics, no tracking. Nothing records which pages you visit.
- Your data stays in your browser, unless you turn on background alerts (below).
What is saved on your device
In your browser's own storage, and nowhere else:
- Your username and the towns, nations and players you watch
- Your settings, theme and notification choices
- Your event inbox (🔔) and calculator history
- Trading-post items you list
- Cached EarthMC data and one claim snapshot a day, so the map loads fast and can show history
To delete it, use Settings → Clear cached data and sign out on the Profile tab, or clear this site's data in your browser settings. Uninstalling the app does the same.
What gets sent where
To show you anything, the app has to ask these services for it. Each request goes from your browser, so they can see your IP address, as with any website:
- api.earthmc.net — town, nation, player and server data. When you look up a player or sign in, that username is sent to it.
- map.earthmc.net — map images and live player positions.
- mc-heads.net — player face pictures. The player's name or ID is part of the request.
- unpkg.com — the map library (Leaflet).
Those services have their own privacy policies. EarthMC also lets players hide their own data from the API with /api opt-out in game.
Background alerts (optional, off by default)
If you switch on background alerts, your browser's push address and your watchlist (town and player names, plus which alert types you want) are stored on the Toolkit's alert server, so it can check for changes while the app is closed. Turning the switch off deletes them from that server. Nothing else about you is stored there.
Children
The Toolkit doesn't ask for your age, real name, email or anything that identifies you in real life, and it doesn't have chat. Please don't put personal information in trading-post listings.
Terms of use
- Free, as-is. The Toolkit is free during 2026. It comes with no guarantee: data can be late, missing or wrong, so double-check anything important in game before you act on it.
- Play fair. Follow EarthMC's own rules. Don't use the Toolkit to harass players, and don't try to overload the Toolkit, the EarthMC API or the map server.
- Names and trademarks. EarthMC belongs to its owners, and Minecraft to Mojang and Microsoft. Town, nation and player names come from EarthMC's public data.
- Changes. Features and these terms may change. Big changes will be announced in What's New.
